Mother Nature on brief winter recess 🌤️

Hello! With many Hudson Valley schools on some form of a winter recess, Mother Nature has decided to take a little winter recess of her own — at least to start the week. It may be cold out there, especially during the mornings, but there will be a good deal of sunshine.
The weather may take a more unsettled turn in the Thursday-Friday time frame. I’ll be keeping an eye on things, but the chance for a snow day seems rather low at this point.
Monday: chilly with abundant sunshine ☀️
Tuesday: cold in the morning; sunny again, a little milder than Monday
Wednesday: a cold start; mix of sun and clouds, milder than Tuesday
Thursday: clouds re-enter the picture, as does the chance for some wet snow and/or rain
Friday: chance for some rain (slight chance wet snow), clouds dominate
Saturday-Sunday: a cold front will likely bring chillier conditions; looking mostly dry, but a passing snow shower is possible
I’ll send an update on Thursday/Friday if necessary, but here’s hoping for a quiet, relaxing week 😌
📈 Looking ahead to the week of February 26th, it will probably turn rather mild for the time of year with a chance for some rain. Such conditions could linger into early March. In other words, snow is not looking particularly likely…

With meteorological spring just 12 days away in the Hudson Valley, meteorological summer is on its final lap in New Zealand.
The weather from February through April can be magical, as the days get shorter and the heat gets a bit less intense, rain-free periods can create a sublime climate.
It’s the time of the year when the sun beckons you outside and the beaches are ever so inviting.
