It’s July 20th and the dog days of summer are upon us! What better time to roll up our collective sleeves and look at… next winter?

Meteorological winter is now just 134 days away 🕰️

So whether you’re in your backyard getting your tan on, rolling down the highway on a road trip, or just sitting back and enjoying a nice drink, I’ll give you something to chew on: the early insights for winter 2024-25.

A thermometer spotted in the Hudson, I mean, Death Valley this month!

Before we begin, I’ll say this: contrary to popular belief, a hotter than average summer does not guarantee a “bad” winter. Mother Nature does like balance, but just because it is warmer than average in one part of the year, it doesn’t mean that it will definitely be colder than average during another!
