Hello there! As promised, here’s an update on the weather that’s expected from Thursday night into Friday morning.
Perhaps Mother Nature heard the Hudson Valley’s calls for “no more snow” as the forecast has trended in a less snowy direction.
What? Rain changing to wet snow.
When? Rain with a changeover to wet snow between 10:00 pm Thursday-1:00 am Friday from north to south. Ending between 4:00-6:00 am Friday.
How much? A coating to at most an inch, mainly on non-paved surfaces and in elevated, mountainous areas.
Impacts? Although less snow is now expected, temperatures will drop into the low to mid 20s by sunrise Friday morning. This will likely cause some black ice to form on roads with a little bit of snow possible on top. Be aware of the potential for slick conditions and be prepared to leave extra distance on the roads.
Additional updates will be available as necessary on Twitter.
On Saturday, we’ll officially cross the bridge from winter to spring and warmer weather will arrive right on time!
Thank you Ben.... we are so done .... bring in 🪴🎋🥀🌺🌸🌼🌕
