Hello there, this is Ben Noll checking in with another update as we start the last full week of May — how time flies!
Warm, humid conditions will continue today (Sunday) before a cold front marches through the region this evening, cooling things down for the start of the working week.
Monday will be comfortable (lower 70s) with a warming trend on Tuesday (near 80).
Wednesday will be the hottest day of the week —and probably of the year so far— with 90 degrees a distinct possibility. Humidity will be elevated too.
⚡ A front will approach the region on Wednesday afternoon and evening, likely sparking off scattered thunderstorms. Something to bear in mind if you have outdoor plans ⚡
Behind the front, Thursday won’t be as hot and the humidity will be lower.
While Friday looks dry to start, a disturbance could approach the region later on. A period of rain looks possible from later Friday into early Saturday, but since it’s several days away, keep tabs on the forecast.
Next weekend, a high pressure system looks like it will nose down from Atlantic Canada, bringing notably cooler conditions — maybe sweatshirt weather!
The cooler weather will likely give way to heat and humidity during the week of the 31st.
June 1st marks the start of meteorological summer! Get ready 😎
Have a great week!
