Hi there!
The snowy season is off to a rather disappointing start, with the chances for there being enough snow on Wednesday to write “snow” on the hood of your car hanging in the balance 🤷
A swath of light snow could break out across PA and NY in the predawn hours Wednesday, with a 50/50 shot the Hudson Valley gets in on it.
What? Light snow.
When? Starting after 5:00 am, from west to east. Ending by Wednesday evening.
How much? From a coating to at most an inch.
Impacts? If snow does break out before before dawn on Wednesday (50% chance), a slippery coating of snow could greet morning commuters with temperatures in the upper 20s. Although chances are low, this could trigger a delay — an gives me an excuse to dust off my school closing graphics for the first time this season 😅
Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing by late morning, with little concern for any additional issues, even if light snow continues.
Given the trends over the last 24 hours, I wouldn’t be totally surprised if the threat fizzled entirely. I’ll have the final word on Twitter this evening.
