Thanks for your super interesting newsletter every week. I don't know if you take suggestions, but I would be interested to see an analysis of night time temperatures in the Hudson Valley. I appreciated seeing the animated graph of high temperatures in the Hudson Valley shifting warmer over time. I understand that the night time lows are doing the same thing plus dew points are up. Would you consider covering that in an upcoming newsletter?
Hi Ali, thanks for reading and for your comment and suggestion. I think we'd find that minimum temps are increasing more than maximum temps if the Hudson Valley is consistent with the wider U.S. trend. Dew points and atmospheric total column water (also called precipitable water) are both increasing, which will lead to warmer nights and increase the odds for high rainfall extremes. Thank you Ben. I wish I saw the promise of rain. We sure do need it. Stay well. Hello to your mom.
Thanks Phyllis! She says hi back. Aside from scattered showers and storms, rain is looking pretty sporadic unfortunately!
Not as hot is good. We can’t control the weather🤷♀️ Stay well.
