👋 A good Saturday morning to you! We’re still on track for accumulating snow from late morning Sunday into early Monday morning.
Compared to yesterday’s forecast, the start time has moved up a touch and snowfall amounts have increased a smidge.
The expected impacts remain the same, though.
Details
What? Light to moderate snow.
When? Starting between 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Sunday from west to east. Falling steadiest in the evening and the first half of the night. Tapering to flurries between 3:00 - 6:00 am Monday.
How much? 2-4 inches for most. Highest amounts along and north of I-84. Snowfall may exceed 4 inches in the Catskills. 2 inches or less across Rockland and Westchester.
Impact? Main roads will probably be wet on Sunday afternoon before becoming slushy or snow-covered after sunset. Secondary roads and sidewalks will become slushy or snow-covered and slippery. Use extra caution while traveling. Be prepared to clean off your car and clear the sidewalks on Monday morning.
The chance for school delays on Monday is high across Sullivan, Ulster, Dutchess, and the northern half of Orange. The chance for delays is medium-to-high for the southern half of Orange and Putnam and low-to-medium in Rockland and Westchester County.
