Hello there! Whether you’re wrapping up a school, work, or vacation week, you’ll want to be aware of what might be in store from late Monday into Tuesday…
Perhaps you’ve already heard! 😉
Ironically, it’ll be happening on the second-to-last and last day of meteorological winter (February 27th-28th) 🙃
What? A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain possible
When? Late Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning
Impact? Some chance for early dismissals and after school activity cancellation on Monday with a better chance for weather-related school disruptions on Tuesday.
It’s still a bit too early to talk accumulation specifics. While an all-snow event would produce bigger accumulations, it’s looking more likely to be a mixed precipitation affair, suppressing snow totals somewhat.
The disturbance that’s slated to move overhead early next week is currently producing low-elevation snowfall in California, with blizzard warnings near Los Angeles and San Diego, if you can believe that! 🏔️
As it travels east, the storm’s interaction with other atmospheric disturbances and track will determine how much snow we get from late Monday into Tuesday…
Have a good weekend and stay tuned!
PS: expect some light snow on Saturday ❄️
