Hello! This is a quick update on the likelihood of rain this weekend.
A tropical depression currently off the South Carolina coast is forecast to strengthen into a tropical storm today (Friday) and will be named Ophelia.
It’s expected to make landfall in North Carolina on Saturday before slowly moving northward over the weekend, while weakening.
For the Hudson Valley, the result will be rainy, dreary, and cool weather starting by mid-morning on Saturday and potentially lasting through Monday.
There will likely be windows of time throughout the weekend when the rain falls very lightly or tapers to drizzle, particularly on Sunday. Storm total rainfall may range from 1-2 inches.
A brisk northeasterly wind will accompany the gloom, with temperatures generally hovering in the 50s. It will feel a bit like early November out there!
The sun will likely return by Tuesday or Wednesday… so there’s that 🥲
Thanks Ben! Not ready for this cold temperatures yet.
Thank you Ben! Stay Safe!
