Greetings! I don’t think the Hudson Valley will have two snow days and a delay this coming week, but we’re not out of the woods.
We’ll exchange the freezing cold for plenty of clouds. Despite the name, you can’t really “win” during winter…
If it’s 80 and sunny you’re after, scroll to the bottom of the post 😎
The main weather feature to watch will occur in the Tuesday-Wednesday time frame, when moisture from the west will run into a colder air mass to the north, bringing the chance for a light wintry mix. Temperatures be quite borderline, however, hovering near or just above freezing.
On Thursday, temperatures will become mild enough for plain rain.
Monday: not as frigid with sunshine and increasing clouds later
Tuesday: a cold rain and/or light wintry mix possible from late morning on, temperatures hovering near or just above freezing
Wednesday: a light wintry mix possible early 🧊
Thursday: rain likely
Friday: probably becoming dry, milder 📈
Saturday-Sunday: most likely dry on Saturday before a storm might approach late in the weekend…
Looking ahead to the week of January 29th, a storm may be near the region on Monday. A drying trend may occur thereafter.
I’ll be in touch again about this week’s light wintry mix either on Monday morning or Tuesday morning, depending on how the forecast evolves.
Unwinding after a wintry week 🏖️
To recharge my batteries after a busy week, I took some “vitamin sea” at one of Auckland’s best beaches — Te Arai 🌊
The water temperature was around 72 and the air temperature about 80 👌
The good news? The Northern Hemisphere will become the summer hemisphere in six months (a little less if you go by the meteorological calendar).
Hope you catch a wave this week ✌️
Love it! Thanks for sending the beach our way! I want to go there!!!🌞😍🏖️
