Hello! Pardon the interruption, but there’s some weather coming that you might want to know about.
It looks like school could be shorter than normal on Monday.
A wintry mix of snow and freezing rain is forecast to arrive during the early morning hours.
With how cold it has been recently, the grounds should have no trouble icing over.
What to know
What? Snow and freezing rain.
How much? A coating to two inches of snow and a glaze of ice. Higher amounts possible in the Catskills.
When? Late Sunday night and Monday morning.
Impact? School delays possible, if not probable, on Monday. Some chance for school closures. Slippery travel conditions during the morning commute.
Temperatures are forecast to rise above freezing by mid-to-late morning Monday with precipitation changing to rain, although recent cold conditions may cause ground surfaces to remain below freezing, prolonging the ice risk.
The next update will be released on Sunday morning.
Thanks Ben
GM and thank you!
