Hello!

There’s a website that has redefined the seasons in New York State. Instead of having just four, there’s now 12. I can’t claim it to be scientifically precise, but it is scientifically entertaining.

Meteorological spring started last weekend. Astronomical spring starts on March 20. Mother Nature says it’s spring this week based on the forecast temperatures!

And, based on my temperature calculations, you may be able to switch from hot coffee to iced coffee during the coming week:

The week ahead

The week ahead will have several days in the 60s and some heavy but beneficial rain, probably later on Sunday. The pick days will be Monday and Tuesday. The coolest day will be Wednesday.

Monday: mild and sunny ☀️

Tuesday: mostly sunny, very mild, and breezy 🌡️

Wednesday: cooler with a mix of sun and clouds

Thursday: more clouds, a stray shower can’t be ruled out

Friday: clouds linger, but becoming milder

Saturday-Sunday: turning windy and warm; a heavy front may blow through on Sunday, bringing a spell of heavy rain

Looking ahead to the week of March 17, cooler conditions around the start of the week will quickly swing warmer.

Over 200 million people across the United States are forecast to experience 70-degree temperatures over the next two weeks:

So what does the rest of March and spring have in store? The spring season is looking like…
