Sneaky snow early Wednesday ❄️
Update #680a: I’m watching for a sneaky swath of wet snow in the lower Hudson Valley on Wednesday morning.
And just like that, delay and snow day season is here!
I’m watching for a sneaky swath of wet snow in the Hudson Valley on Wednesday morning.
It looks like it will cross the lower Hudson Valley, along and south of I-84, early Wednesday morning between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Parts of Sullivan, Orange, Rockland, Putnam, and Westchester Counties may awaken to a coating of snow, mainly on grassy surfaces and car tops.
Ground temperatures that are near or above freezing should generally prevent issues on roads, but I couldn’t rule out a few slick spots in higher elevations of western and southern Orange County and in normally colder places.
I don’t think there will be school delays because of the light nature of the snow and marginally cold temperatures, but an area to watch stretches from near Warwick to Port Jervis in southern Orange County.
Something to keep in mind for Wednesday morning!
