Sunny start to September
Update #669: a new month, but the same pleasant weather in the Hudson Valley.
September is nearly here, according to the calendar. With all of the comfy weather recently, Mother Nature seems to think it’s already September!
That also means meteorological fall is starting.
But don’t worry — if you’re not ready for summer to be over yet, you have until the 22nd according to the astronomical season.
And if you’re wondering what the fall season will bring, you can check out my Hudson Valley fall outlook.
Fall is getting warmer. What will this year bring?
Pumpkin spice latte season, also known as fall, is nearly here 🎃
The week ahead
It will be a nice, dry start to the week before a front moves through the region on Friday. Another front may swing through on Saturday, ushering more cool air.
Monday: a pleasant start to the week
Tuesday: nice again, a little warmer
Wednesday: like Tuesday, but a touch warmer
Thursday: warmer again, sunshine
Friday: more humid with scattered showers and storms possible
Saturday-Sunday: probably a muggy and warm start followed by a dry, cooler finish
The week of September 8 is currently looking cool, comfortable, and mostly dry.
While the weather has recently been sensational in central and eastern states, remarkably high heat is hitting western Canada. Low 100s are forecast in British Columbia this week, setting records for the highest temperatures this late in the summer in Canada.
Have a sunny start to September… and school ✌️
